Help with passport issues.

Hi, We enjoyed a cruise with you on April 9th to the Norwegian Fjords. Unfortunately, my passport expires on 22.08.22 (four months after the visit). I’ve been living in the UK for 12 years and I’m coming back to Bulgaria (a member of the EU and I don’t need a visa because I’m an EU citizen) in the summer. I don’t have a chance to change my passport at the consulate, the procedure takes months. I can’t even travel to change it because I’m a student and now I have exams and I can’t be absent. I also work. And last but not least, after the new passport, I have to renew my residence status in the UK and I don’t have time for that. Last but not least, I am afraid of getting infected with covid when I travel by air. This trip will also cost me a lot of money. My Iglu agent said it is valid for 6 months for my passport. I checked on the Norwegian government website where European citizens are required to have a passport valid for 3 months. I also received an email from the Norwegian Embassy in London. I am also a UK resident. I don’t know what I can do to solve this problem. I’ve never had this problem before traveling in Europe, nor have I ever felt so discriminated against. I am asking for your help to resolve this issue as best we can for all of us. :

Discrimination against vaccine passports

We were 4x cruises a year. Pre-Covid!! Refer to the covid vaccine. Why is your company and other cruise line companies discriminating against those who will not take the COVID vaccine? It is an unfair and unjust decision, let the truth be known. Do you think your company will get rid of this illegal travel passport? It has nothing to do with covid, it has more to do with control. My husband and I were addicted to sea travel. Our world has been destroyed once again. Please give it serious consideration. Thanks, Kim Lewis (Mrs) PS A concerned former cruiser!!!

Can you please explain the current P&O cancellation charges? We are currently booked on Aurora 6th January 2023 65-night cruise. We want to cancel due to our financial situation. We are being told by our travel agent that we will not be getting a refund of our deposit. This seems to conflict with your online policy which states that a full refund will be given if more than 90 days’ notice is given. Can you tell me which one is correct and why? Many thanks Philip Jackson

Customer Recommendation: If your cruise is canceled by P&O it will take a long time to receive a refund!

I’m just looking for information.

Bad treatment of two disabled passengers

Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher were left in the cold, which made one sick. You lost their luggage and had to go home instead of the cruise. Now you want to charge them £184 for delivering the goods at their expense, bearing in mind their disability. Now they have to travel by train at their own expense to retrieve the goods. Last time you said one had covid he didn’t have it. They had to pay for an expensive taxi home when you said you would pay them. Now you said you will pay back their trip in 2 years. How ridiculous. I’m going to highlight it on my radio station. Your treatment with two handicaps is very bad. Especially if they find it unpleasant to eat and drink outside all day. This is the worst vacation company ever…

This is the worst holiday company ever! You cannot go on the telephone.

I have been trying to get a refund of the deposit I paid for the 2020 cruise for months now. I have filled their online refund form and there is no refund or email from them to confirm it. . They have received my request.

However I get emails asking if I would like to book another cruise! With their poor customer service I have absolutely no confidence that I will have a good cruise experience with them. From reading the other reviews here it seems that many others have had the same experience. Please would someone from this company at least have the decency to respond to this review.

My booking reference CJVJXR.

A cruise line that doesn’t want customers

Used an agent to book the cruise for 9 adults, this is a reputable agent we have used before and they confirm they use the same booking system as P&O. Paid for two cabins then agent went to collect payment for cabins 3 and 4 only to be told the 4th cabin could no longer accept 3 passengers so the first £10k card payment was taken but only half the holiday was booked. P&O had closed all cabins for 3 passengers, although we could still book the exact same cabin for 2! The P&O customer care team was not interested at all. No explanation was offered, or acknowledgment that there was a problem with the booking system. No solution was offered and no apology was made. The agent tried to find a solution but the only option was to pay £2.5k for a supplement. In 2022, most ticketing platforms allow holding rooms/seats until payment is processed. P&O It is not difficult for your IT department to set up their booking system somewhere to allow payment processing. This holiday was the only option for all of us to go on Christmas Eve as several family members are teachers and it was the last time we could all go on holiday together. Thanks for not ruining all our plans and trying to help us get our dream vacation. We would have been willing to pay a little extra but not a full supplement when it wasn’t our fault.

Going on a P&O cruise in 11 days. Was trying for last 5 days to book on board theater entertainment. Each time their Cruise Personaliser website lets me go at the last press of a button but then says no availability and to try again. I assure you try again after 60/70 you will get a bit tired of trying. Rang P&O for over an hour 4 times each time, 1st call cut off 3 times, so total 7 calls no problem I have also sent them 4 emails, still no response to any of them. When I reached out on phone calls, no one had a reason or a cure for my problem. The upcoming cruise is my 37th, mostly with P&O. It goes without saying that I will never go with them or any other company owned by Carnival.

First time traveling with P&O and was disappointed.

My partner and I traveled with P&O Cruises which falls under Carnival Cruises, we traveled to the Norwegian Fjords between 16/07/2022 and 23/07/2022. First time traveling and I decided to travel with P&O Cruises. My partner and myself made sure the cruise payment was secured and paid well in advance of sailing. I was excited to experience my first cruise but it was nothing but disappointing from start to finish. I can’t fault the crew, crew, staff, food, entertainment, cabin and departure process but I can say that we spent a lot of money for a cruise that didn’t include the beverage package. was! Apparently Tui Cruises’ Marella Cruises include this, a drinks package within a cruise package. Second and most importantly, P&O missed ports due to bad weather. Really? The weather was not that bad. I appreciate that this is within their terms and conditions to protect people but surely P&O Cruises have access to weather and sea reports? How can this company take people’s money on false advertising and not offer them alternative bookings? If they had thought of it, they might have returned the customers in the long run. One of the alternative ports was called Alesund in Norway and I realized that I had docked in Southampton overlooking a town, not the Fjords. Olden and Stavanger were the best ports, only two of the 3 but sadly we missed the Fjords cruise on Wednesday and then Haugesund on Thursday, so me and my partner and many others aimed for an amazing Experience the waterfalls

Over the past two years, we have done three P&O cruises. The Covid tests required for the first two cruises were arranged and

My family members gave me the opportunity to travel with them on Azura. I was very happy to accept the offer. We only had a week, but it was a chance to visit Croatia and see Malta again. • I was really looking forward to my first Med cruise in 3 years but I was very disappointed with this cruise. The Britannia itself is pretty neat and tidy but I really miss having a proper prom deck to walk around – for most cruises, the prom deck walkways were closed. I used The Retreat most days and while it was a bonus to have a quiet, adults-only area, it looked very tired – torn beds, Almost perfect (but not quite).

Our first cruise. Opt for fjords as we’ve always wanted to go, and chose P+O as wife isn’t good at sailing, so wanted the biggest ship. IONA was an excellent choice. • We wanted a vacation in August without too much heat and so chose this Norwegian Fjords cruise. Everything about Norway was spectacular, breathtaking scenery and beautiful people. • Terrible experience with trip cancellation

Booked and paid in full on Pacific Explorer for myself, husband and 4 year old. Our 4 year old is not vaccinated and his booking is pending. 2 days later a call came and a voice message was left on our phone saying that our booking was canceled because our son was not vaccinated and could not board the plane. We called back and explained that he turned 5 exactly a week before departure, so the vaccinations would not be in time (there terms say you need 2 doses of the vaccine 14 days prior to travel). doses are required) but he said no he cannot travel.

This company deducted money from my bank account without any authorization. When I came back from abroad, I called them several times. In the end they only refunded 50% and said you have 50% of your money with us as credit. I had a terrible experience with this company. Very disappointing.

P&O Cruises

Very poor customer service

I booked through OZ CRUISING and I need to make a change, OZ Cruising has no call center, the only option is to email, with the reply, “Please reply to one of our dedicated consultants. Allow about 14 – 21 business days to deliver” what P and O say they can’t help, or won’t help more than.

I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for what they did to me. Bought a tour for $250 and they promoted the same tour for $170. Everyone who went to complain got a difference but I didn’t. They claimed that it took me a while to complain, and the day they did the promotion and I went to complain, the kiosk was already closed. I went to the reception several times and no one solved anything.

I’m a little worried right now. Booked a cruise for the kids, first holiday post-Covid. Paid in full. The booking was pending to reach the 5% non-vaccine allowance. (Child under 5 years ineligible). A call was received that they had reached the quota. Fine. They wanted to hang my money and I would go on the cancellation waiting list. No Thanks. I was then offered half my refund and a credit on another cruise. refused. They said I may get a full refund but it may take 45 business days to hit my account. This is three and a half weeks after the shipping date. So now I don’t have money to book anywhere else to take the kids. P&O were happy to take the booking and hang on to my money. Very disappointing.

“Discover Vanuatu” removed Vanuatu, where we were to be married.

“Discover Vanuatu” removed Vanuatu, still we can’t get our money back. Although we were supposed to get married in Vanuatu. 5 cabins and they only gave us 1/2 money back. Very worried because these funds are needed to find accommodation and airfare on the island. I am in complete shock as my wedding plans are hanging by a thread.

I booked a cruise and took advantage of their $1/pp deposit which was great. They only gave me a month to pay off the balance, but I called for an extension. I paid $233 a week later and the balance was due. Yesterday I received notice of the cancellation of my cruise and they had the secret of charging me a $190 cancellation fee. When I called about it because I was supposed to have an extension installed per my previous phone call, they told me that they

Poor customer service – lack of complaint response

We have complained to P&O regarding our cabin on Iona. Our balcony was unusable as it was directly under the infinity pool at the rear of the ship. These cabins are priced for rear balcony views which would have been particularly beneficial when cruising through the Fjiords, however the chance of getting wet from above was too high to use this premium amenity. The time has passed. And we admittedly don’t have that much, so a week ago we complained about not getting a response. It seems that the only way to contact P&O in writing is through their web portal as they do not provide a direct email address to customer services.

 September 8, 2022

Not touring for over 3 years improved some things and not so much.

Guests are not required to wear masks on shuttle buses or excursions. Total disrespect to those of us who did. Sometimes a little slow service at Cinnamon Restaurant. The app is good. Expensive drinks. Not happy to run the kids unsupervised until midnight at night.

The holiday was great just to drop down to see the sights there was no entertainment on the outside deck and no cruise director but enjoyed the holiday

Exceptional service from staff

We both enjoyed our recent cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. Without exception, the staff and the attention they gave us was first class and we can’t praise them enough. Our waiter in particular, Marc Anthony, could not have been kinder. Inevitably we see some changes, mainly due to Covid, but overall, very pleasant.

The Iona is well equipped and decorated, but it’s too big and app-based, not for us.

The food was really good and the service around it, although my husband is celiac and we found the information about his dietary requirements really poor until we found out that he had dinner with the head waiter on the night. Before ordering, after having a bad experience at a restaurant. Day 2 when he had no starter choice. The pre-orders worked great after that. We were a party of 9, Iona is app based and the app only allows booking for up to 6 people, this was also a real hassle for us, days 1 and 2 were horrible until we got to this point. Didn’t find my way around. Day 2 I realized that all the shows I had booked on the app with my family were cancelled. The cabin crew were fantastic, very helpful. No I would not recommend Iona for group bookings.

Perhaps P&O is now looking for a wider customer base. Great staff as usual

Lacking food options, the grill was not open and we were given no advance notice, the only alternative to the main restaurant was Sindhu which proved difficult to get a booking for. Apparently we missed the last scheduled port stop due to bad weather conditions although majority of the passengers seem to doubt the motives behind it. This follows an announcement by captains a day earlier suggesting that Covid masks will now be required when moving around the ship. All this left a gloomy mood towards the end of the cruise. I don’t recall seeing any senior officers around the ship at any time nor were there any welcome drinks attended by senior staff which doesn’t help most passengers see things. was The ship was a bit tired in places and we were surprised to find that there was only one 13 amp socket in our cabin. Before departure we were told in our itinerary that there would be 3 black tie evenings on the cruise. There were 4 in the event, which was excessive on a 12-night cruise and reduced the desired brightness of the events. The change in black-tie events unfortunately typified Cruise’s administration in general. For example, the website displayed an incorrect route map in the itinerary before and after departure and showed a different cruise route. The online details of the port visits also suggested that we would arrive in Malta at the end of the voyage which was a surprise to all of us and which fortunately failed to materialise. My sixth app was useless for anything other than monitoring your account. Thankfully this element worked quite smoothly, but the booking element was a waste of time. We pre-booked some shows only to find out when we were on board that they were canceled and you didn’t have to pre-book anyway. Overall, the admin was shambolic and not what we are used to on previous cruises. We refused to pay exorbitant prices for Wi-Fi even though our friends had to for business purposes. I’m glad we didn’t as the quality seemed unreliable at best. I think in this day and age Wi-Fi should be offered as a free service and should match the best of your competitors. You can afford a complicated service if it’s free, but not if you’re paying

This is my first cruise from Southampton and with P&O I had high expectations. Check in was pretty slick but there was little help from the baggage handlers which was a bit disappointing as I use a walking stick! The rest of check-in went well although I was really tired when I got to my cabin. The cabin was nice, and the cabin stewardess was very professional and introduced.
