Cruise With Azamara

Why Choose To Cruise With Azamara?

When it comes to traveling, you have such a wide variety of options available to you in terms of cruise lines and ports of call that making a decision can be challenging at times.

In this multi-part blog series, we’ll examine the most compelling arguments for why you should think about booking a cruise with one of several different lines. In this blog post, we will discuss the six reasons why you should think about taking an Azamara cruise. This cruise line is an excellent illustration of something that you might not have heard of right away, but once you know about it, you know all about it! This is the reason why.

Just two words… Place of Immersion as a Destination

Azamara was the first cruise line to popularise the use of this phrase, despite the fact that it is now pretty common knowledge. What exactly does “Destination Immersion” entail? Well, it’s more than just a marketing technique, and it’s all about bringing people and providing them the opportunity to learn about a location and get more than just a taste of local culture. This is what this is all about.

Everything is out of this world.

AzAmazing activities and evenings are an integral element of the Azamara experience and have been given their own brand name. These are free shoreside experiences that delve and emphasise the culture of a place, and they are open to all passengers on board the ship. A private performance of acrobatics by Les Farfadais at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco is one example. Another example is a cultural performance by Maori people at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in New Zealand. I spent an AzAmazing afternoon on board the Azamara Pursuit at Cherbourg, and I can certainly say that they are incredible—check out the pictures below to see what I mean.

Think boutique hotel

In all honesty, Azamara ships are more comparable to upscale boutique hotels than they are to traditional cruise liners. Many people believe that the R Class ships, which were constructed at the turn of the millennium for a cruise line that is no longer in business, are among the best cruise ships now operating in terms of size, design, and general atmosphere. This type of ship constitutes the entirety of Azamara’s fleet; however, in recent years, there have been considerable upgrades made to each vessel in the class. They have a concentration on rich timbers and darker colours for the most part, giving it a true sensation of luxury, and they can only fit 690 passengers on board, giving them a sleek and intimate atmosphere.

When you start to feel hungry

You shouldn’t let the fact that there are only a few restaurants on board discourage you from choosing Azamara because the company excels at what it does. The food on board is azamazing (sorry, I’ll stop now), whether it’s served in the relaxed Windows Café, the formal main restaurant, or the two specialty restaurants that charge extra: one is an Italian restaurant, and the other is a steak house. You can anticipate that the meals will draw inspiration from the locations that will be visited, and you can also anticipate that there will be a variety of evening events throughout the course of a cruise, including a chocolate buffet, dim sum, sushi, and other offers.

Variety

Immersion is one thing, but diversity is also very essential to me when it comes to cruising. And there’s no need to worry about Azamara taking care of this issue either. A variety of itineraries, ranging from large multi-country itineraries to country intensive journeys, are offered by Azamara to give passengers the opportunity to experience a wide range of destinations. Costa Rica, Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, Cuba, Spain, Norway, Italy, Japan, Croatia, Greece, and France are some of the countries that are visited on one-country cruises. Additionally, the line schedules the deployment of its ships to coincide with significant events and festivals held all over the world, such as the Grand Prix of Monaco.

On the other hand, there are activities such as White Night. White Nights are not an uncommon occurrence on land or water; yet, Azamara raises the standard to an entirely new level. The pool deck is typically changed into an outdoor dining area complete with an open-deck barbecue and a space for dancing under the stars to live music. Naturally, this transformation is contingent upon the weather. It’s a good time all around.

Advancing from one level of success to the next

Azamara was a brand that belonged to Royal Caribbean Group up to January 2021; however, the company recently made public their decision to sell the brand to a private investment entity. This new company is eager to see Azamara continue to expand, and to demonstrate their dedication to the company, they have instantly purchased a fourth ship to add to the existing fleet of three (another long-lost sister of the sought-after R Class). There are even whispers that a fifth ship is on its way to being constructed very soon.

What about Azamara is your absolute favourite, and why? Would you like to cruise aboard the ship? Please let me know your thoughts in the comments.
