The fact that it has a vibe similar to that of a town plaza is one of the things that sets it apart from other places. You are welcome to sit here and socialise with the other guests over a cup of coffee or a bottle of wine. It’s possible that the configuration of the cruise cabins is the most practical reason to enjoy travelling with Princess. Even though these staterooms are neither the largest or most luxury I’ve ever seen, we absolutely adore the functional and spacious design of these cabins.

When you first enter the cabin, there is a separate area that contains your bathroom as well as a kind of open closet area. This area is separated from the primary bedroom by a wall that is part of the closet. There are shelves, as well as a significant amount of room for hanging cruise attire. Plus, two mirrors that cover the entire body.

This area gives off the impression of ample space and functions admirably as a dressing room, particularly in the evening when one is getting dressed.

On sea days, there are even special dining experiences available, like as the British Pub Lunch, which are really included in the price of your cruise trip. On every cruise, we can’t wait for the fish and chips and the prawns and chips to be served.

All of the ships in Princess Cruises’ fleet are now of the MedallionClass, which means you’ll have access to both the Ocean Medallion and the Medallion Net when the company resumes operations.

The Ocean Medallion is a disc that may be worn that serves as a replacement for the cruise card, but it also has quite a few other functions. It makes the overall experience of being on a cruise much more convenient and assists you in maintaining communication with the individuals you are travelling with.

Our favourite thing to do at the Princess is to unwind by one of the breathtaking pools. It doesn’t matter if we are at the aft or Terrace pool on the Crown Princess, the adult only Retreat pool on the Regal Princess, or one of the main pools on any Princess ship where we can listen to the calypso band play while sipping Pina Coladas; they are all fantastic!

The majority of Princess cruise ships include three or four swimming pools, and there are plenty of deck chairs along the lido and upper decks. It is wonderful that we do not even have to be concerned about the feared “chair hogs.”

You’ll love travelling with Princess if you spend much of your time at sea lounging by the pool.

9. Princess Romance: The Love Boat, Vow Renewals, and More (The Love Boat, Vow Renewals, and More)

It could just be in their genes, but Princess Cruises know how to do romance right!

Did you know that you can get married on a Princess Cruise by one of the ship’s captains? If that isn’t an option, have you thought about renewing your vows on the water?

You have the option of participating in a very unique and private vow renewal ceremony (check your cruise personalizer for details; I’ve heard it’s wonderful), but you might find it more meaningful to take part in one of the group vow renewals that appear to be taking place on multiple Princess Cruise ships.

I don’t remember this happening in previous years, but my parents just returned from a vacation on the Emerald Princess around the Mediterranean, and they couldn’t stop raving about the communal vow renewal that took place in the Piazza of the ship.

Even though it wasn’t something they had planned, it still had a lot of significance for them. They had their certificate, they took pictures, and they messaged everyone of us back home from the ship while they were away. It is a very precious recollection.

10. Princess Value

Even when our children were younger, we took into consideration the cost of each vacation choice when deciding whether or not to go on a cruise.

We used to joke that in the early years, we were sailing on a budget more appropriate for camping. We booked inside cabins and limited ourselves to taking one trip each year to be within our budget. When we were able to, we drove to the cruise port (and we still do this because I despise flying).

As a family, we have firsthand knowledge and experience demonstrating the importance and value of taking holidays and participating in other types of travel.

Because we considered the package as a whole, Princess did not always come out as the least expensive choice. On the other hand, we always had the impression that we got greater value for our money when we went on vacation.

Even now, Princess provides quite a lot of amenities that are included in the price of their cruises. If you’re not a huge fan of being charged extra for seemingly insignificant things, I think you’ll enjoy this.

Service in your room

For example, Princess includes room service as part of their package. This is fantastic! It is a small luxury, but it can be really useful on port days and even for late-night munchies for the teenage sons and the husband.

Pricing that is reasonable for shore excursions

One thing that we never do is cut corners when it comes to the shore excursions and activities we have. This does not mean that we never do things on our own when we are in a port and have the option to, or that we never employ a local tour operator when we have the option.

On the other hand, there are times when we feel more comfortable going on an excursion that is organised by the ship, and we find that the prices that Princess charges for their trips are fair.

In addition, Princess offers a Best Shore Excursion Price Guarantee, which states that if you find the same excursion offered by another tour operator online for a lower price, they will really match the lower price and pay you an additional 10% of the difference as an Onboard Credit.

Previous perks for passengers and the Captain’s Circle Program

For returning customers, Princess has a generous reward programme that, in my opinion, offers some of the best perks that are available.

From discounts on prior passengers all the way up through the early membership stages, to free internet minutes, free mini-bars, and free laundry services when you reach the upper membership tiers. Princess extends loyalty advantages to young cruisers as well, so you may take advantage of them even if you’re travelling with your children.

It is an absolute must that you read it if this will be your first time sailing with Princess or even if you have sailed with Princess before but want to make sure you know everything there is to know about the line (if I do say so myself lol). I’ll also include a link at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

11. Princess Cruises: Family-friendly Vacations for All Ages

I cannot suggest Princess highly enough to families that are thinking about taking a cruise with a large number of people. The truth is that Princess genuinely offers something that will appeal to each and every customer.

My family and I took a cruise through the Caribbean over the New Year’s holiday to celebrate my parents’ golden wedding anniversary. Our group included people ranging in age from 7 to 75.

The children had a wonderful time both in the kid’s club and in the various activities that were available to the entire family, such as treasure hunts and movie nights. The teenagers adored the laid-back and cool atmosphere of the teen club, where they were free to come and go as they pleased but could also participate in scheduled events at the disco and in the hot tub at night.

Adults had a good time participating in activities such as trivia, a fashion show on board, a painting class, and just hanging out by the pool while eating nachos and drinking Mango Coladas (yeah, that’s me ;-).

This is the best option to consider if you are planning to travel with a large number of individuals at the same time.

12. A Kind and Helpful Crew

In conclusion, it goes without saying that the staff members on Princess Cruises are welcoming and accommodating, but I’ll say it anyway. It is pleasant to be on vacation and to experience a sense of being so well cared for and… okay, this may sound trite, but a little bit like being with family.

During our most recent cruise, we had this experience, and it even extended to our conversations with the artists who were playing on board (who were incredible, by the way!). One got the impression that everyone was genuinely friendly.

When we go on a cruise with Princess, we have complete confidence that we will feel just at home.
