The Best Spa Resorts In The U.S. & Around The World: 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards
Our annual Readers’ Choice Awards are now in their 35th year, and they continue to recognize the travel experiences that our readers enjoy the most. These experiences range from hotels and airlines to cruises and islands. Plus: odes to the properties that keep you coming back, musings on great cities, and more. Plus: odes to the properties that keep you returning back.
The results of the poll reveal what we previously suspected: people’s enthusiasm for traveling is at an all-time high. As evidence of this, nearly a quarter of a million of you participated in the survey that was conducted this year. This year’s list is a monument to the staying strength of perennial favorites, through thick and thin; however, there are some newbies to consider, and it begins with the top large city in the United States and ends with the top foreign airline. According to the readers of Traveler, these are the top spas in the United States and around the world.
30. Lanserhof Tegernsee — Waakirchen, Germany
Lanserhof Tegernsee is an ultra-modern wellness retreat that has been open since 2014 and is located against the breathtaking backdrop of the Bavarian Alps. This is not your typical nail salon and day spa where you may get a facial and manicure. The Lanserhof Cure is a programme of fasting and detoxification that was developed at the turn of the 20th century by an Austrian physician named Franz Xaver Mayr. The spa and health offers revolve around the Lanserhof Cure. Cryotherapy, also known as sitting in a chamber that is maintained at a temperature of -200 to -400 degrees Fahrenheit for two to four minutes, is one of the treatments that each client receives as part of an individualised treatment plan that is derived from medical examinations and tests. Because of the fasting routine, you won’t spend as much time eating and drinking, but that just means you’ll have more time to engage in other activities, such as taking tai chi courses, swimming in the saltwater pool, and appreciating the breathtaking views from your balcony. There are even performances of classical music held every night to help you unwind before you go to bed.
29. Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos — San José del Cabo, Mexico
One of the most tranquil getaways in all of Mexico is a resort that caters exclusively to adults and is located right on the Sea of Cortez. A personal butler is available in each guest room to assist with your luggage and pour you a warm bath whenever you choose. Amenities included in guest rooms include bath products designed by Bulgari and bottles of tequila as a welcome gift. A variety of massages, facials, and body wraps—including a chocolate wrap, if you’re interested—are available at the 29,000-square-foot Blanc Spa, which also features hydrotherapy rooms and aesthetic treatments. In addition, there are spinning and Pilates courses that last for an entire hour. After you’ve finished all that detoxification, visit one of Le Blanc’s eight restaurants or six bars to treat yourself to some steak and seafood.
28. Lucknam Park, located in Wiltshire, United Kingdom
The charming Georgian manor house, constructed entirely of honeyed Bath stone, is located at the conclusion of an avenue lined with sky-high beech and lime trees and is flanked by gardens that look if they were taken from a film set designed for Jane Austen. On the premises, there is a cosy house that is ideal for weekend getaways for families, an equestrian facility that is on par with the best in the world, and a serious cooking school. However, you do not have to prepare your own dinner on your own. In the restaurant that bears his name, renowned chef Hywel Jones creates delectable dishes. That is sufficient justification for continuing to stay. The blazing fireplaces, wood-paneled libraries, canopied four-poster beds, and gloomy oil paintings are all contributing factors as well. A concerted effort over the past few years to make the establishment seem less stuffy has resulted in a cheery bounce in the step of the staff, an increase in chatter levels to almost a hum in the evenings, and a laid-back environment in which you can wear your robe down to the ESPA spa and back again without feeling like a terrible slob. Guests with keen eyes will be able to detect the peculiar Greek features that are sprinkled around the space, such as the paintings of the Acropolis in the dining room and the Hellenic motif that is printed on the plates. This rural getaway has a resonant and rooted atmosphere, and it exudes a deliciously British vibe throughout.
27. Brenners Park – Hotel & Spa — Baden-Baden, Germany
Charm from another era, excellent service, and they don’t leave anything out. The grand dame, which is 140 years old and is located in a valley in the Black Forest Mountains and overlooks the Lichtentaler Allée, contains rooms that are decorated in the traditional manner of a country home. The majority of the rooms feature wrought-iron balconies and huge windows, and the location is convenient to the famous thermal spas and springs of Baden-Baden. The Medical Care centre of the hotel provides preventive health care, complete examinations that last for two days, and aesthetic dentistry services.
26. Litchfield Hills, Connecticut’s Winvian Farm is ranked
Winvian Farm, which is located in the middle of Connecticut, is the ideal getaway for the weary captain of industry who longs to get in touch with his childlike sense of wonder. On a 113-acre estate, the proprietors of the Pitcher Inn in Vermont commissioned fifteen New England architects to construct eighteen cottages and one suite. Some of the conceits are more successful than others, but each of the ultra-comfortable and one-of-a-kind cottages is based on a different concept (the Library, the Treehouse, and the Helicopter, respectively). The impressive cuisine prepared by chef Chris Eddy, who has previously held positions at restaurants such as Daniel Boulud and Alain Ducasse, and the extensive wine collection are two of Winvian’s many strengths. Guests who are in need of some rest and relaxation are welcome to visit the spa, where they may enjoy individual sessions of yoga and fitness, massage, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and skincare treatments while looking out the windows over the forested landscape.
25. Cal-a-Vie — Vista, California, U.S.
If you went to Cal-a-Vie, which is located in Vista, California, you might be fooled into thinking that you were in the tranquil countryside of France. The suites are unpretentious and rustic, including washed-out wooden flooring, vases of fresh flowers, and mattresses that are so plush that they practically bounce. This is a destination that provides a wide variety of activities; for example, you can start your day with a hike before sunrise, and then thereafter choose between piloxing, spinning, or water volleyball (dance, pilates, and boxing). Visit the world-class spa to soothe your aching muscles with a massage, but also seek for their Vinothérapie alternatives, which integrate Cal-a-organic Vie’s wine grape seeds, skins, and pulp extracts. Previous guests have praised the massages at the spa, and they recommend them highly. If you combine these luxurious treatments with the assistance of an on-site dietitian, you will leave the spa feeling like a million dollars.
24. Villa Stéphanie — Baden-Baden, Germany
Formerly a rehabilitation facility for the cultured convalescent, the Villa Stéphanie in Baden-Baden, which is now a 15-room residential spa annex of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, was built in the 18th century (the city is famous for the curative boost of its mineral hot springs). Now the Beaux-arts style structure has been renovated into a sleek and practically soundless sanctuary whose neutral-toned rooms — each of which is provided with a digital detox switch — are inconspicuously connected to the spa and private gymnasia via a staircase that is only accessible to residents (all the better for bathrobe-wearing). You have the option of signing up for a full-body makeover through the Medical Care Total programme, which will connect you with any one of seven on-site specialists in gynaecology, ophthalmology, cardiology, physiotherapy, or aesthetic medicine. Afterwards, you can choose to relax on one of the many terraces that overlook the wildflower-carpeted bank of the river Oos. In either case, a stay at Villa Stéphanie is not at all like a stay in a monastery because the true healing takes place at dinners served in Brenner’s two-star Michelin restaurant and at drinks served in the jewel box-like bar that is panelled in wood.
23. F Zeen Retreat Hotel Kefalonia — Greece
F Zeen blends into the sandy and protected Lourdas bay while remaining hidden in the shadows of the pine-forested Mount Ainos. Golden structures are scattered along the sloping and sun-drenched shoreline, interspersed with winding pathways; each of these buildings has unimpeded views of the ocean. Personal training sessions, yoga and meditation workshops, snorkelling, paddle boarding, and mountain climbs are just some of the fitness programmes, wellness activities, and excursions that are written on a huge chalkboard at reception at the beginning of each week. There is a spa as well as three different swimming pools that guests may pick from on a daily basis. This is in addition to the glistening ocean that is only a few feet away from the hotel and features private sunbeds and views of Zakynthos in the distance. Christof Koumoudos and his family are natives of Kefalonia, and they have always had a deep appreciation for the culture of the island. They established a connection with the fundamental principles that had been upheld by those who had been residing on the island for many years, such as a sense of communing with nature and the promotion of a lifestyle that prioritises health and wellness. After all, the word F Zeen derives from an ancient Greek phrase that translates to “the happy life.”
22. Euphoria Retreat, located in Mystras, Greece
Our annual Readers’ Choice Awards are now in their 35th year, and they continue to recognise the travel experiences that our readers enjoy the most. These experiences range from hotels and airlines to cruises and islands. Plus: odes to the properties that keep you coming back, musings on great cities, and more. According to the readers of Traveler, these are the top spas in the United States and around the world.
21. Canyon Ranch Tucson in the state of Arizona in the United States
When Canyon Ranch Tucson first opened its doors in 1979 in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, it was surrounded by the saguaro-filled Sonoran Desert. Canyon Ranch Tucson was the first resort to offer an all-inclusive health and wellness experience. Outdoor activities like desert hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking give the typical spa experience a whole new dimension here; however, if you would rather be pampered, the facilities are top-notch, and there is an amazing team of medical, exercise, nutrition, and life management professionals. In spite of this, and despite the fact that there is a vast and demanding variety of classes, the guests frequently single out the food as their favourite component: Poblano peppers packed with calabacitas, mashed black beans, and guajillo pepper sauce are some examples of the wholesome foods that are inspired by the surrounding desert nature. After all, Tucson was the very first city in the United States to be honoured with the title of UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
20. Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa — Tucson, Arizona
Even though there are older spas and wellness retreats in North America (not to mention Europe), Miraval was the one that brought the concept of taking a break to relax and rejuvenate to the mainstream. One of the sites that helped bring wellness to the mainstream is Miraval, whose name formerly included the term “living in balance.” (Thank you, Oprah.) Now it might not be quite as cutting-edge as it once was, but it does what it does with self-assurance and expertise. The accommodations are luxurious casitas with really comfortable beds, and the culinary programme has more of an emphasis on the nutritious foods that can be added to one’s diet rather than on the “sinful” (a word that is not allowed) items that one should avoid. As a consequence of this, it is delectable no matter which extreme of the menu you select, and the experience as a whole is soothing.
19. The Lake Austin Spa Resort, located in Austin, Texas
This all-inclusive destination spa, which is located on a scenic hillside near its namesake lake, attracts relaxation seekers from all over the world. You’ll see them, buffed and polished from their treatments and hungry for more, strolling the grounds all day in their robes. The beds are incredibly plush, and the resort’s very own brand of goods, which have a faint aroma of lavender and can be found in the bathrooms; in fact, these are the very same things that are used in your spa treatments. In that vein, all of the spa’s materials are grown on the premises (the face washes make use of organic honey and wildflowers, for example), and some of the treatments are performed in semi-outdoor settings.
18. Lefay Resort & SPA Lago di Garda — Italy
This high-end holistic resort is located on the beaches of Lake Garda, and it is known for its emphasis on wellbeing and the surrounding natural beauty. It is situated on a natural parkland that spans 27 acres and offers views of the nearby lake, olive trees, and forest. The spa is as vast as it is beautiful, with a remarkable design for the extensive facilities. For example, who knew that there are five distinct kinds of saunas? You are able to sample each one here. The programme, which was developed by the (obviously enigmatic) Lefay SPA Scientific Committee, combines traditional Chinese medicine with modern science from the West, and it is tailored according to the needs of each individual guest. Every visit begins with a “energy interview,” the results of which are used to create a customised treatment plan that may include moxibustion (the practise of burning herbs over the skin), hydro-aromatherapy (in which essential oils are added to a whirlpool), qi gong and meridian stretching, and phytotherapy (a fancy way of saying herbal teas). If you find all of that to be a little overwhelming, there is good news: The Vital Gourmet food is deeply rooted in the concepts of the Mediterranean diet; however, the Vital Gourmet food places a greater emphasis on calorie restriction, foods that boost energy, and cooking techniques that do not place an unnecessary amount of strain on the body. However, this does not imply that there would be any form of deprivation because dishes such as pasta, risotto, and Italian cheeses will still be available.
17. Shou Sugi Ban House, located in Water Mill, New York, United States of America
Because its premise is so enticingly straightforward, the first wellness retreat in the Hamptons exudes a casual spirit that encourages guests to kick off their espadrilles and sip some turmeric juice. Put your attention on the fundamentals of self-care by drawing from what cofounder Amy Cherry-Abitbol likes to refer to as intuitive wellness. It’s just what the area’s anxious tourists need to calm down and enjoy themselves. The purpose of Shou Sugi Ban House is not to break somebody down in a medical or military manner; rather, it aims to create an environment that is a recipe for happiness. This environment is comprised of sun-filled barns and blond-wood studios with deep-soaking Japanese tubs. There is slow-paced yoga in the morning and walks on the beach; however, if lazing by the pool is more your speed, that’s OK too. The purpose of indulging in all of the things that are excellent for us (even that third slice of Danish seeded bread with plum preserves at breakfast) is to help us learn how to live our lives the way that we all want to and to feel better as a result of doing so.
16. Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti — Pinzolo, Italy
Guests of this high-end holistic resort in the Italian Dolomites can enjoy skiing in the winter and hiking in the summertime. The resort is located in the Dolomites, which is known for its natural beauty. The spa is as expansive as it is beautiful, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, an ice cascade, and a heated saltwater lake. Additionally, there are nine saunas, each with a unique combination of temperature and humidity. After you’ve had your fill of the tasting menu at Gruel Organic Restaurant or a table with a view at Dolomia Restaurant, round up the evening with a drink in the lounge or on the rooftop bar.
15. Cariblue Beach on St. Lucia is this week’s featured BodyHoliday destination.
This beachside all-inclusive resort has become well-known in recent decades for its one-of-a-kind dedication to health, fitness, and overall wellbeing ever since it first opened its doors in 1988. Guests can expect to receive custom-tailored itineraries prior to their arrival at this resort, which is located on a private cove in the northwest of St. Lucia, close to Pigeon Island National Landmark. Additionally, more than 40 included activities are provided each day, and each day includes a complimentary 50-minute spa treatment (apart from arrival and departure days). In addition to Pilates and Reiki, the health center’s heated massage bed is made of marble and Jerusalem stone, which are both used in the facility’s decor. Produce is sourced locally whenever possible, with much of it coming straight from the hotel’s garden. Relax in the two-tiered infinity pool, which is surrounded by loungers and underwater raised stone perches, so that you may have an in-water beverage whenever the mood strikes you.
14. Chewton Glen, located in Hampshire, United Kingdom
This redbrick country home was built in the eighteenth century and is located on the edge of the New Forest. It is a twenty-minute walk from the English Channel. The apartments that received a perfect score were brightly coloured in yellows and greens and had a combination of antique furniture and contemporary textiles. Some of the rooms even had own garden terraces. The atmosphere and the grounds, which feature flower gardens and a croquet lawn, are favourites among visitors, who also praise the hotel’s superb personnel. At the Colonel Tinkers Bar, you can have afternoon tea while sitting in a leather armchair surrounded by first editions of books. Dishes such as Isle of Wight tomato salad and crispy Old Spot pork fritters with smoked mayonnaise may be found on the seasonal tasting menu that is served in the restaurant’s exceptional dining room. The menu is inspired by the flavours of the English countryside.
13. The Ranch Malibu – Malibu, California
At this wellness retreat, they practise a form of love that is more like tough love. Nothing is up for negotiation, not the wake-up knocks at 5:30 a.m. (they will keep coming until you answer), not the yoga or stretching sessions at 6 a.m., nor the hours of morning trekking, nor the afternoons spent in the gym, nor the nearly vegan eating plan. Everything must be completed. You are not the only one who is confused about why people pay for this. However, if you are one of the individuals who get it, then you may consider it to be the kind of annual wellbeing checkup that you eagerly anticipate. There is sometimes a competitive atmosphere on the hiking trail because the Ranch is known to draw people with type A personalities, but the guides are helpful and encouraging for guests of all skill levels. And the reward for all of that hard work is not only a few pounds of weight loss that will stick around, but also improved muscle tone, radiant skin, and a well-deserved sense of achievement. It is helpful that the accommodations are exquisitely comfortable, that there are daily massages available, and that the cuisine, despite its reduced portions, is prepared using the freshest organic ingredients and is artfully presented.
12. Joali Being — Maldives
Thankfully, the wellness resort Joali Being offers its intellectual philosophy with a caressing attitude and a no-news, no-shoes barefoot ethos. The bone-white beaches and crystal-clear lagoons provide the best calming backdrop for self-improvement. The 68 villas, each with its own pool, have a Tiffany colour palette that brings the lagoon right into your light-filled sanctuary. The villas have shaggy thatched roofs that ripple like the ocean waves beyond them, oversized hand-carved doors that resemble tree bark, walls that are textured like wind-riffled sand, and the colour palette was inspired by Tiffany. The luxurious spa features ice fountains, steam rooms, saunas with glass fronts, and hydrotherapy pools throughout its expansive grounds. Each villa comes equipped with a butler known as a jadugar, which, translated from the indigenous tongue, means “magician.” Thankfully, these jadugars live up to the reputation of being enthusiastic, efficient, and engaged in their work.
11. Ikbal Thermal Hotel & SPA — Afyonkarahisar, Turkey
Guests at this thermal spa, which is part of a hotel that is located in an open-air shopping centre in the mountainous countryside of Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, can count on 286 spacious rooms with the latest technology (there is no digital detox here), meals served three times a day, and a spa that comes with a Turkish bath and an indoor pool that is exclusively for women. Guests can also count on the spa to provide them with a Turkish bath. Visit the fitness centre or the squash courts for an experience that involves greater physical activity. Reflexology massages, milk baths, seaweed wraps, and a variety of other relaxing hair and nail treatments are all on the menu at the spa. If you’re wanting to decompress, the spa is the place to go.
10. Gilpin Hotel & Lake House — Lake District, U.K.
The Gilpin is a family-run hotel that boasts five stars and deserves every honour it has received. It can be found amid the rolling hills of Cumbria and overlooks Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It has a number of different places to stay, including 25 well-appointed, luxurious rooms in the main hotel, all of which have views of the lake; five private spa lodges, each of which has a steam room, hot tub, and sauna; and the Lake House, a 100-year-old standalone six-bedroom boutique house that is tucked away a mile from the main hotel and feels even more exclusive. All of the rooms in the main hotel have views of the lake. There is absolutely nothing that could make this location any more ideal for a vacation in the Lake District. You can go boating or fishing, stroll the 100 acres of tranquil countryside owned by the hotel, chill in the hot tubs, or head over to the two restaurants Spice and Hrishi, the latter of which benefits from a Michelin-star rating, for some exquisitely prepared and served dishes. Spice also has a Michelin star rating. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a hard day’s work.
9. COMO Shambhala Estate — Bali, Indonesia
When you arrive at COMO Shambhala Estate, a jungle-hugged designer health resort set on staggered hilltops above the Ayung River, you will be greeted by views that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck. For the past two decades, COMO Shambhala has been recognised as a haven of five-star quality for affluent vacationers who are looking to say goodbye to stress and welcome to spiritual growth. The wellness centre at the property features a steam room, hammam, sauna, exercise centre, and tennis courts. Additionally, Hindu water blessings and chakra healers are available at any moment.
8. Gleneagles — Auchterarder, U.K.
This big sporting hotel is the ideal location for a getaway to the great outdoors, since it is situated on 850 acres in the Ochil Hills of Perthshire. In addition to being home to three championship golf courses, it serves as a jumping off point for an exhilarating variety of outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, hiking, fly fishing, and archery, all of which are conducted with the assistance of knowledgeable guides. The hotel itself is magnificent and elegant, and it harkens back to the Roaring Twenties, when it first opened its doors and was at the height of its popularity. The accommodations, of which there are a total of 205 rooms and 28 suites, are beautiful. Standard amenities include free-standing spas, king-size mattresses, heavy draperies, and huge windows with vast views. Take some time to relax in the enormous spa and choose from eight different pubs and restaurants, such as the Art Deco Strathearn restaurant and the Century Bar, which offers a selection of more than one hundred different single malts from around the world. In the event that the weather in Scotland takes a turn for the worse, guests staying at Gleneagles are provided with complimentary Barbour coats and wellies.
7. Ananda in the Himalayas — Narendra Nagar, India
Ananda in the Himalayas, which is located in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas and is close to the places where yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda (a form of alternative medicine that emphasises the connection between the body and mind) were first practised, is as close to nirvana as you can get. This is also the location where the Beatles first met the Maharishi. The resort takes this tradition seriously, with a comprehensive approach to wellness that mixes Eastern and Western therapeutic approaches. Ayurveda and aromatherapy treatments are at your disposal, as is a 24,000-square-foot, 24-treatment-room spa that almost assures a restorative experience for its guests. The location, which is surrounded by 100 acres of woodland, is also a plus.
6. Atenas, Costa Rica- Retreat Costa Rica.
Diana Stobo, a celebrity chef and best-selling book, had the vision of creating a Costa Rican version of “paradise on earth” when she established The Retreat Costa Rica. This vision took the form of a wellness retreat that is set deep within the rainforest. The 13 rooms are basic, without telephones or televisions, and include balconies or patios with views of the Pacific Ocean and the nature that is in the surrounding area. The Vida Mia spa provides services like as Ayurvedic massages, Costa Rican coffee scrubs, and crystal healing facials; the Boca Dulce restaurant features outdoor dining with a view of the mountains, and all of the dishes do not contain gluten, dairy, or refined sweeteners.
5. Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa — Koh Samui, Thailand
This resort on the palm-covered slopes of Koh Samui was opened by a group of American hippies turned–real estate entrepreneurs. The resort features 76 guest rooms. The work of American architect Robert Powell incorporates subtle allusions to Nepalese pagodas into teak-clad structures and bungalows that are nestled among the towering trees. Additionally, Robert Powell’s strategic design maximises views of the tropical sea from every vantage point. Travelers who are on a tighter time schedule may find it more beneficial to go straight to the massage table, while those who have more time on their hands should take advantage of the Wellness Center’s extensive menu of medicinal options, where everything from flower remedies to full annual checkups is available. The resort implements a few straightforward changes to become more innovative, such as doing away with predetermined check-in and check-out times and assuring visitors that they will be welcomed at any time during their stay. Peace seekers don’t need to break a sweat while they spend time with the vast range of butterflies flitting amid the enormous pink lotus blossoms even though there is a full roster of cardio and meditation workouts available.
4. Coworth Park, Dorchester Collection, located in the county of Berkshire, United Kingdom
The Dorchester Collection’s first hotel in the countryside is located on 240 acres of polo fields and wooded woodland at the border of Windsor Great Park. The hotel is only twenty minutes away from Heathrow Airport and is in close proximity to Windsor Castle and the Ascot race course. The edifice, which dates back to 1776 and formerly belonged to Galen Weston, the chairman of Selfridges, has a total of 60 rooms, 30 of which are located in the Mansion House and the remaining 40 in the stables and cottages that were located on the property. It’s refined to a five-star level, yet with an excitingly contemporary twist. The staff members are known for their unique personalities and strong spirits, both of which are used to pamper the guests. The rooms in the main house include traditional furniture, such as four-poster beds, but they have been modernised with light, subtle materials and have mesmerising views of the surrounding woods and parterres. The spacious layout of the rustically decorated rooms, which are located amid a tiny cluster of cottages, a stable, and an 18th-century dower house, makes them ideal for families. In the upscale formal dining room, guests may enjoy scrumptious small meals, inventive foams, and the expertise of a top-notch sommelier. The casual restaurant The Barn, which features a stone floor, is known for its excellent renditions of traditional English country fare. It is fitting that there is horseback riding, tennis, golf, and a lovely spa with its own restaurant on the premises, but nothing beats the ability to engage in lengthy country walks, which is widely regarded as the most beloved activity associated with rural England.
3. Six Senses Kaplankaya — Turkey
You will be given an evil eye bracelet, which is part of a tradition that dates back 5,000 years, and you will be asked to close your eyes and set an intention for your stay when you arrive at this Turkish outpost of the well-known health company. Imagine it as a button that resets everything. You have successfully adapted to the slower wavelength of this location. This stretch of the Aegean coastline, which is located across the harbour from Bodrum, the party capital of Turkey, is all about reconnecting with nature, with hillsides covered in cypress trees and wild olive groves. The fragrances of the surrounding terrain find their way into the almost 108,000 square foot spa when you are not out kayaking in the turquoise waters or walking along the rocky shore. For instance, your hammam treatment may include a sea salt and olive oil scrub. In addition, during your stay, you will have access to a traditional Finnish sauna, a crystal steam room, hydrotherapy pools, a salt grotto, and even an icy igloo, all of which are designed to improve blood circulation and the body’s ability to absorb oxygen. Are they both equally stimulating? a trip to the nearby city of Ephesus, with the goal of exploring the Classical Greek ruins there.

The majority of the 28 suites and villas at this wellness resort in Santorini are oriented to take advantage of the greatest views of the sun sinking over the Aegean Sea. More than two hundred different spa, medi-spa, physiotherapy, holistic, and fitness treatments are available at this location.
